Welcome to another editon of Tales From The Drafts! This is the segment where I discuss rumours I have heard but I couldn’t get confirmation today. This edition should be one people are excited for. On TheInSneider newsletter a few days ago, writer Jeff Sneider said Jordan Peele met with Marvel Studios for an upcoming project, but didn’t specify which one. While we haven’t been able to confirm this 100%, here’s what we’ve heard:

It’s important to note that this meeting was a long time ago and unfortunately, it didn’t work out. However, this doesn’t mean that Peele and Marvel don’t want to work together. Should the two parties work on a future project, Peele would likely want to write the script on top of directing, something he’s done with all of his previous directorial efforts, with fantastic results. If Peele did indeed board X-Men, he might not have had that freedom as Marvel already spent months looking for their writer in Michael Lesslie (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes).
