It would be crazy to say that Thor: Love and Thunder is not anticipated. It certainly isn’t getting any less attention with Christian Bale as the main villain. Now, we’ve gotten our first look as him in the role of Gorr the God Butcher.
We’ve obtained photos of Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, as shown below. Daily Mail has the full photos on their site as well.
Gorr is one of the newer Marvel Comics characters, debuting in Thor: God of Thunder #2 back in 2015. Gorr’s entire family was killed due to the harsh conditions on his home planet. Using a weapon called All-Black the Necrosword, he planned his revenge on the Gods hence the moniker, God Butcher. His backstory is quite tragic and it’s interesting to see what Marvel Studios will do with his character in the film
Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Taika Watiti, and Russell Crowe and releases in theaters on May 6, 2022.
