Deadpool and Terminator: Dark Fate director Tim Miller will be stepping in to conduct additional filming for the upcoming Borderlands film, One Take News has confirmed with sources.

OTN understands that despite contrary reports, Eli Roth is still involved in the project and has NOT been fired. Roth’s schedule doesn’t allow him to conduct reshoots that line up with the actor’s schedules. Tim Miller is stepping in to do the first additional photography for the film and not only does he have the blessing of Roth, but Miller has seen Roth’s cut of Borderlands and they’ve discussed how to make the film as good as it can be.

Lionsgate was not available for comment.

Tim Miller is an established, Academy Award-nominated director in the film industry is no stranger to video game franchises. He’s been an executive producer on the Sonic the Hedgehog films for Paramount Pictures. Miller also directed Deadpool and created the hit Netflix series Love, Death and Robots.
