Ironheart is currently filming in Georgia and is one of many upcoming superheroes making their long awaited MCU debut in the future. Dominique Thorne is slated to appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever this November followed by her own show next year. However, we’ve found some info that could hint towards the future beyond her show. Keep in mind that until we get any official sort of confirmation from a trade or Marvel Studios, this should be taken as speculation and speculation only.

When looking at the official site for the State of Georgia, we can see a list of productions filming there and when looking at the list, Ironheart is visible under the working title Wise Guy, something discovered over a year ago. However, it’s worth noting that it doesn’t just say the working title but has “S1” next to it. This didn’t show up for the productions like Ms. Marvel (much to my sadness) or Echo when they were filming in Atlanta so it’s entirely possible Marvel is already thinking ahead for Riri Williams’ future.

While we at OTN have not heard any concrete info about the show getting a second season, it’s not impossible either. Kevin Feige has said multiple times that some of the Disney+ shows were made with a second season in mind. So far, Loki is the only one that’s been renewed but that doesn’t mean that second seasons for other shows aren’t in the works behind closed doors. It’s also worth noting that the wrap gifts for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Ms. Marvel all had the words “Season 1” listed on them yet none of these shows have gotten a renewal yet. For all we know, this could just be a simple typo on their site but only time will tell as to what it is.

The Ironheart synopsis reads as follows:

Dominique Thorne stars as Riri Williams, a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world. Her unique take on building Iron Man suits is both brilliant and flawed, and “Ironheart” delves into the dynamics of tech versus magic.

Marvel Studios
