He’s been in Marvel, Star Wars and DC. Now, he’s ready to join another big franchise.

Veteran actor Clancy Brown is the latest actor to join the cast of The Boys spin-off The Boys: Gen V for Prime Video, One Take News has exclusively learned. His role is being kept under wraps, but sources say that Brown will be in at least one episode, with the possibility to appear in more.

Prime Video did not respond to multiple requests for comment. Reps for Brown declined to comment.

Clancy Brown has been an established actor in Hollywood for over three decades. Brown has appeared in films such as The Shawshank Redemption, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Thor: Ragnarok and is slated to appear in John Wick Chapter 4. However, Brown is more well known for his television and voice roles. Brown voiced Savage Oppress in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and has been the voice of Lex Luthor in various DACU shows, starting with Superman: The Animated Series.

The Boys: Gen V is described as “an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.”

The Boys: Gen V is currently in post-production and will release on Prime Video sometime next year. Are you excited to see the show? Let us know!
