People can work on Earth-616 and in a galaxy far, far away at the same time right?

Jake Schreier, the man who’s helming Thunderbolts for Marvel Studios, is the latest director to join Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, multiple sources tell One Take News.

Lucasfilm declined to comment.

The news comes just after OTN exclusively reported that Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, known as the Daniels, directed one episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, news Kwan then confirmed on his Instagram and just under a week after we also exclusively reported that David Lowrey was joining the directing team.

Schreier is about to be a very busy man. Fresh off of directing Netflix’s critically acclaimed series Beef, starring Steven Yeun, who will play a significant role in Schreier’s next project Thunderbolts, and Ali Wong, he’s gonna take a quick hop, skip and jump into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the highly anticipated film Thunderbolts.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is the latest show in Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s so-called Mando-Verse. The show was conceived by Jon Favreau and Jon Watts while the two were on the set of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2020. The show is also known under its working title, Grammar Rodeo, which is based on the event Bart Simpson told his parents he was going to in The Simpsons episode, Bart on the Road. Our friends at DiscussingFilm then reported last year that Watts was officially in talks for the series. At Star Wars Celebration in 2022, the series was officially announced and Jude Law was confirmed to star.
