Borderlands is a film that things have been pretty quiet on. It finished filming almost a year ago and we only got silhouettes of the cast in costume. Sadly, we here at One Take News have not heard about any test screenings happening either so if they happened, it’s been kept pretty quiet. So yeah, the wait’s been pretty brutal for fans but, that’s about to change. We’ve been doing some detective work and we think we may have uncovered the potential release date for the film.
We’ve been doing some digging and came across a listing on a Russian distribution site that claims Borderlands will release on August 25, 2022. This site has had accurate listings and release dates like this before which is why we’re reporting on it. However, due to Russia invading Ukraine, I doubt that this date will stay in tact for a Russian release.
Despite the likelihood of this film not releasing in Russia, this is a good indication that it’s probably safe to expect a trailer in the next month or two. In the meantime, we’ve reached out to Lionsgate for comment but they have yet to respond. If we get a response we’ll update the article.
Borderlands stars Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu and Jamie Lee Curtis. It’s expected to release in 2022 with a potential August release. What do you make of this discovery? Let us know!
