It’s no secret that I love the jackass franchise. I thoroughly enjoyed jackass forever and when the movie was over, I was left wanting to see more of the crew. Thankfully, the folks at Paramount Pictures Canada understood that and included some great deleted scenes in their Blu-Ray copy of the film. This alone makes the purchase worth it for me. Let’s get into why I loved this Blu-Ray.
First, let’s talk about the movie itself. jackass forever is a 90-minute laugh riot full of the most immature humor you could imagine. This movie is NOT for everyone and that needs to be said. Thankfully, it is for me. From the start, there was a big smile on my face, and I laughed all the way through. This movie has some of the craziest stunts ever attempted by the jackass team including Steve-O getting stung by bees in special areas and Johnny Knoxville getting shot out of a cannon. This movie proves that people don’t care how obnoxious a film is if it makes them laugh.
The deleted scenes are where this release shines. Paramount included over 40 minutes of extras for us to dig into and that alone makes this Blu-Ray worth purchasing. Seeing the stunts from the film fail and the stunts that weren’t in the final cut make it feel like a DLC package for this movie. All this added content will have to keep fans satisfied until jackass 4.5 releases on Netflix later this year.
If jackass forever is your kind of movie, then it is absolutely 100% worth picking it up on Blu-Ray. If this isn’t your kind of movie, I’m betting you know someone who would enjoy this kind of movie and would appreciate a kind gift from their friend. The point is, that the Blu-Ray does not disappoint and is worth your money.
