Salem’s Lot has found its Kurt Barlow.

Multiple sources have confirmed to OTN that Alexander Ward has been cast in New Line’s upcoming Salem’s Lot remake as antagonist Kurt Barlow. For those who don’t know, Kurt Barlow is the cause of many nightmares for children of the 70s and 80s. He’s a vampire who purchased the haunted Marsten House in Salem’s Lot, Maine. Protagonist Ben Mears finds out the true nature of Barlow and attempts to stop him from infecting the rest of the town.

Alexander Ward’s name might not sound familiar, but you’ve probably seen him in film and television before. Ward has appeared in hits like Teen Wolf, Sleepy Hollow, Annabelle Comes Home, Army Of The Dead and Westworld.

Not much is known about the movie as no footage or stills have been publicly released. However, OTN can confirm that the film has tested multiple times and overall, the reactions have been mostly positive.
