Black Adam can’t seem to catch a break. It was in development hell for well over a decade but it finally began filming last year and even had a test screening back in December, which went well. However, a little over a month ago, the film was delayed from it’s July 2022 date to October 2022. We revealed that it was due to reshoots meant to add more of what people liked. Now, we’ve heard some more tidbits on the planned reshoots and we’re here to share them.

Sources have confirmed to OTN that the Black Adam crew has been prepping for the reshoots (we heard they started a few days ago) and that, as previously rumored, cameras are expected to begin rolling at the start of May. We can also confirm that the reshoots are currently planned to run for about 2 weeks. While not confirmed, we’ve also heard that the Black Adam reshoots will run concurrently with another DC project (more on that soon).

Because we know that people are going to panic, we do want to stress that these reshoots are NOT a bad thing. It is very common for film productions to undergo reshoots and in many cases, they can be very beneficial for the final product. The film tested well pre-reshoots and I expect it’ll test well post-reshoots as well.

Black Adam is currently slated for release on October 21, 2022. Are you excited for the film? Let us know!
