After a post credits tease at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, James Gunn and his team have found their Adam Warlock in Maze Runner actor Will Poulter.

This comes after a report from The Cosmic Circus stated they heard that Poulter was cast in the role but they weren’t 100%. Then, last night, Deadline came out and confirmed the report. Warlock was teased at the end of Vol. 2 and has been heavily, HEAVILY rumoured to appear in the threequel since then. Gunn took to Twitter to confirm the report. THR also noted that Bridgerton actor Rege-Jean Page and 1917 actor George MacKay were on the shortlist for Warlock as well.

For those not in the know, Adam Warlock is one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe. He’s described as the perfect being in every possible way and has a large connection to the Infinity Gems (known as the Infinity Stones in the MCU).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, along with the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special are expected to begin filming next month simontaniusly for a May 2023 release.
