They’ve conquered the multiverse, now it’s time for them to conquer in a galaxy far, far away.

Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the Oscar winning directing duo known collectively as the Daniels, famous for their work on Everything Everywhere All At Once, will direct at least one episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, multiple sources tell One Take News.

Lucasfilm declined to comment. A representative for the Daniels did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The news comes just after the duo each won 3 Oscars for Best Orginal Screenplay, Best Director and Best Picture for the phenomenon known as Everything Everywhere All At Once. The film won 7 Oscars last weekend including Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Editing. The Daniels are also known for their work on the ‘Turn Down For What’ music video, something that earned the duo a Grammy nomination. The duo is also known for their 2016 film Swiss Army Man, starring Paul Dano, Daniel Radcliffe and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is the latest show in Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s so-called Mando-Verse. The show was conceived by Jon Favreau and Jon Watts while the two were on the set of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2020. The show is also known under its working title, Grammar Rodeo, which is based on the event Bart Simpson told his parents he was going to in The Simpsons episode, Bart on the Road. Our friends at DiscussingFilm then reported last year that Watts was officially in talks for the series. At Star Wars Celebration in 2022, the series was officially announced and Jude Law was confirmed to star.
